This is a wonderful telephone as you can see. It has been totally stripped down and rebuilt after the body has been stripped and re-refinished to a perfect standard. The metal work has also been stripped, polished and re-plated black. It has a GPO No10 alpha numeric dial and the markings on the telephone are No4 crossed through and No156 added. Also TE30,  235 crossed through and 234 added as pictured below. It has all new best quality hand plaided British manufactured braided cords to both the ear piece and the bell set to telephone. It has the original GPO ear piece internals as these perform very well indeed.

The bell set is a rare desk set model and has been lightly French polished leaving the original patina including some staining etc. It has been fitted with the correct speech coils to run the telephone perfectly on modern use. These were taken from a 1940s GPO model.  I left these marks in it as they were only minor and added to its history. Probably very early and around 1920.
