Red GPO 1/232 with drawer 1938 Diakon

This telephone is a rare Diakon material red 200 series. It is not perfect but a real stunner. When I got it it had damage to the right side on the base about 1/2 inch and the body had an open crack under the dial. The handset has some light fading and a few tiny nibble on the mouthpiece. The cradle,Tee Bar, handset and ear cap drawer strip and knob were un damaged. As you can see the the colour of these Diakon telephones is a beautiful cherry red. The telephone is all original and I sent the damaged parts away to be resin repaired. This is an expensive process and only used on very valuable telephones. The results were fabulous as you can see. the damage to the right side base cannot be seen from the outside at all the crack under the dial is just visible but now secure and robust. I would recommend you seeing this telephone to make sure you are happy but of those of you that have bought telephones from me will know I am quite harsh on the descriptions and customers are usually more than happy with them. This telephone is wired up to work perfectly and I can fit a small bell inside with one of my special brackets to prevent any damage if you want to remove it at any stage. Diakon telephones in this condition are very rare to find and I don't remember when I last had a red one. This is priced to sell and so please don't hesitate if you have been looking for one for a while. I can make a dial label with your information at no extra charge.
