This is a wonderful GPO No 150 candlestick telephone. It is dated 1930 on the stem and I can assure you that it genuine and not a copy. These telephones take a lot of time and expense in that I send the body and all the parts away to be re finished to a very good standard. I then reassemble the telephone and in this case have used a best quality reproduction earpiece cord. Have used a nice long original GPO braided cord to connect the bell set to the telephone. I have also fitted an electronic microphone. It retains a lovely GPO No10 with a perfect enamel dial face.

The bell set is also sent away to be stripped and re finished but I make sure wood can be seen in all its glory and not covered by the GPO dark brown stain. This bell set started life as a GPO No1 and was then modified by the GPO to No 41. I have restored it to a later model No1 with the correct coil to enable the speech to be up to modern standards.

As you can imagine all this is expensive and time consuming but in the end it is worth the effort. Please note that all the parts on this candlestick are genuine other than the electronic microphone, the dial label and the earpiece cable.

I can make a dial label with your information at no extra cost.
