This is a very rare telephone. Originally dated 1966 this one was refurbished by the GPO in 1978. I have brought it back to its original state in that I have found a number dial ring and surround from a broken telephone of the same colour. I have fitted a new re-mould finger dial. This is now the only 706 in its original state I have had and is in fabulous condition. It has been stripped down and rebuilt after cleaning and polishing each part. It is fully working to dial out and receive and I have used an original junction box to connect the UK plug socket to.
