This is a wonderful rare Ivory GECoPHONE. I would estimate the date at late 1930s to early 1940s. It is a very nice example and is unusual to find with the UK type cradle. It has a lovely 1930s No 10 dial with its original enamel number face. The body in wonderful condition with no staining and the handset has a small repair at the line out but otherwise in great condition. The mouthpiece is very slightly different in colour but I am very picky and corners have the faintest of hairlines but you would need to really look closely to see them. I have fitted it with an electronic microphone a 1950s receiver insert and a 4000 ohm bell coil to allow it to work using one Ren. I have kept the original feet and the handset and line in are both original. These are very rare to find in usable condition. All in all a beautiful unusual telephone with a wonderful ring tone. Every year it is harder to find good examples of rare telephones and so I have no doubt that these will be impossible to find in years to come.
